NEW in Envira Gallery: Polaroid Layout and Enhanced SEO Features

At Envira Gallery, we’re always looking for ways to make your photo galleries stand out and perform better. That’s why we’re excited to announce 2 new features that will give your galleries a fresh look and improved search engine visibility.

1. Introducing the Polaroid Layout

Remember the charm of Polaroid photos? We’ve brought that classic aesthetic to the digital age with our new Polaroid layout option.

The Polaroid layout gives each of your images its own “frame,” creating a unique visual experience for your visitors. Whether you’re showcasing travel photos or your latest creative projects, this layout adds personal style that’s sure to catch the eye.

The new layout works for both galleries and albums. You can use it with any gallery theme and customize it the same way you would other layouts such as adjusting columns, displaying social share buttons, adding watermarks, or even using custom CSS.

Plus, you’re not limited to the traditional polaroid size or the blank white space. Feel free to resize your images or add captions to the white space, which can be an especially sleek look for displaying eCommerce products.

To start using the new layout, just update your plugin, and you’ll see the polaroid layout in your gallery Configuration tab.

2. Boosting Your SEO with Improved Deeplinking

We’ve also been hard at work enhancing our Deeplinking addon to give your images a better chance of being discovered online.

As you may know, the Deeplinking addon gives each of your images a unique URL using anchor links such as “yoursite.com/gallery/#image1”, which is crucial for getting your photos to rank. But now, we’ve stepped it up a notch and added valuable properties to help search engines better understand and index your images.

The new version of the Deeplinking addon will automatically add schema markup for:

  • Image Captions
  • Publish Date
  • Copyright License and Holder (if Image Licensing feature is enabled)
  • Image Location (if EXIF addon is enabled and location information is available)

To enable these new SEO features, just update your plugin and install / activate the Deeplinking addon. From there, you can check the box to Enable Deeplinking from the Lightbox Settings tab on any gallery.

Pretty nifty, right?

We’re excited to see how you’ll use these new features in your projects. The Polaroid layout opens up new creative possibilities for presenting your images, while the enhanced SEO features can help your work reach a wider audience.
