How to Import NextGEN Galleries, Albums and Tags into Envira Gallery

Envira Gallery has an importer specifically created to import NextGEN galleries, albums and even tags. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to use it, step by step.

To import NextGEN galleries, albums and tags into Envira Gallery, you’ll need to follow these 3 steps:

• Step 1. Install and activate Envira Gallery plugin
• Step 2. Install and activate NextGEN Importer addon
• Step 3. Import NextGEN galleries, albums and tags into Envira

Step 1: Install and Activate Envira Gallery Plugin

First thing you need to do is install and activate Envira Gallery plugin. This is the first step to move your image galleries and albums to a much faster platform, and the vastly better gallery plugin experience of Envira Gallery.

Step 2: Install and Activate NextGEN Importer Addon

Upon activating the plugin, you can simply go to Envira Gallery » Addons. Look for the NextGEN Importer addon. You need to install and activate it.

To access this addon, you must have Envira Pro or Ultimate license.

Simply click on the Install Now button. It will then ask you to activate the plugin.

Step 3: Import NextGEN Galleries, Albums and Tags into Envira

Once this addon is activated, you need to go to Envira Gallery » NextGEN Import from your WordPress backend. You’ll find your image galleries, albums and tags.

Go ahead and check mark the items you want to import into Envira Gallery, and click on the Import Galleries button.

Your selected items will be imported into Envira Gallery. You can edit these image galleries and albums like any other Envira Gallery creation.
