Protect Your Work with NEW Custom Watermarking
As many of you know, Envira Gallery’s watermarking addon already offered the ability to add an image watermark to your photos. However, oftentimes you may want to add text, like your name, instead of an image.
Many photographers also want to adjust how and where the watermark appears such as the color, position, and size. All of these changes can turn a simple process into a tedious one. At Envira Gallery, we take pride in being the go-to WordPress gallery plugin, so we fixed the problem!
Text Watermarks + Built-In Previews
With Envira Gallery, you now have the added option of creating text watermarks right inside the gallery customizer. Plus, you can see exactly how your text or image watermark will look with the new built-in preview.
Just select Text, type your word or phrase, customize the typography, and immediately see how it’ll look on your images.
Granular Control Over Appearance
Want to change your watermark’s position or size? Perhaps you want to rotate your watermark, so it doesn’t obscure an important area of your photo. No problem!
With the new watermarking features, you can customize:
- Text Appearance – Select font, size, and color (including transparency).
- Image Scale – Adjust the size of your watermark image.
- Position – Choose a corner or select center display.
- Rotation – Rotate your text or image to an exact degree.
- Margin – Set the space between the edge of your photo and the watermark.
Repetition for Maximum Protection
Want to add a watermark that will repeat vertically and horizontally throughout the image? This ensures that no one can crop the watermark out of your photo for unauthorized use.
Just check the box to enable Repeat, and Envira Gallery will make it happen.
Keep Your Original Images Pristine
Protecting your images is key, but you also may need the non-watermarked versions in other areas of your site. For example, you wouldn’t want to show watermarks in a client proofing gallery.
The new watermarking features make keeping original copies seamless. When adding a watermark, just click the box next to Keep original images. Then, Envira Gallery will automatically create a copy of your original image without your watermarking settings applied. Pretty cool, right?
